IT support technician
As the job title suggests, IT support technicians provide internal or external IT support. It’s a generic title, meaning your responsibilities will vary depending on the company you work for and your existing skill set. The great thing about this role is that career progression is often clearly mapped out with the opportunity to progress to IT manager and/or support engineer.

You will likely need some experience working with Windows 7; PC, laptop and printer hardware; and backup solutions and antivirus software, among others.

Business analysts straddle the worlds of business and IT. They work with a company’s IT team to gather information about the software and hardware necessary for the business to operate and identify what the best options are. The role is very often project-based, keeping it varied and challenging.

This is a great role for somebody who enjoys working with different departments and has a varied set of skills. It suits good communicators, problem solvers and negotiators.
